Name the Herps! Contest Rules: This one is pretty simple; just give the common name and scientific name of each herp pictured. It should be answered in this format:
Herp #1: Common Name, scientific name
Please place your guesses in this thread. Spelling is important, especially with the scientific names, so check your spelling before you post!
The reason I'm asking for the scientific name is so there is no confusion later in case there are two animals with the same or similar common names. These animals can be from anywhere in the world. Use any resources available to you, be it books, the internet, or friends in the herp industry. The first three people to correctly identify all of the herps will each win a Python Passion T-shirt. I will not post who has correctly identified them all until we have three correct posts.

I hope this is a fun activity more than anything else, and perhaps even a learning experience. Good luck!

LMFAO....ehhhh I'm only about 98% on the 2 rattlers.....hard when there's no size reference or possible local available, few ssp. look pretty much the same and considering the highly variable patterns and such....well I digress... ~B~

Damn it!!! It looks like Brad beat me to this one and has all the right anwsers It's OK Loren, it the first three to correctly identify all the animals that get the prize.
And besides, Brad is only 70% correct.
And that's all the help anyone is getting right now, until we get some more people guessing. ;D
Brad and Preston, everyone is welcome to take another shot at it, but please make your new guesses in a new post, so it is easier to see who got them right first. If you edit, it will say so at the bottom of the post, so I can figure out who answered first, but it makes it easier for me if the new posts are made so it's in chronological order.
