For anyone looking for a low-cost reptile tracking program, I'd highly recommend Vyper. Very easy to use for anyone from novices to advanced computer-literate people. They also have the rack and bin booklet, that allows you to print out a booklet using one page of paper from your printer, with plenty of room to make notes on your reptiles. You can throw away those old index cards! Track everything from feeding, defecations, and sheds to sire introductions and clutches. Print reptile reports for your own use, or reports for animals you are selling. Print your own reptile guarantees simply and easily, showing the sire and dam of the offspring in question.
Very affordable at only $25.00 for the digital download, with free updates for life!

If you decide to buy, please link through my website or the above link, as I get a commission for helping to promote Vyper.
I would not be recommending this software if I did not use it and love it myself. It has made things so much easier and faster to record my herps' information. Plus, the creators are very easy to work with when it comes to suggestions on what might make the software more user-friendly or the additions of other features for record-keeping.

Yeah, they are a relatively new reptile tracking software, but much better IMHO that any of the others out there. More descriptive with your info, more info you can record, etc. etc. Great program though!

I hadn't heard of it either & say the heading here but didn't know what it was so I never clicked over here to find out. Early this morning I was on Quiettempest's forum & saw a post where you were explaining what it was. I have been looking for something like that to keep up with my snakes on the computer. I write it in a bookeeping form in a notebook right now. I get tired of writing the same info 22 times. Anyway I went to your website & bought the first version, hope I did it right so you got the commission for it. I downloaded it this morning, but haven't had the time to use it yet. I will try it out some time tonight. I have to leave now to meet friends that are taking my husband & me out for my birthday last Sat. It looks like I will really enjoy the tracking system, thanks for telling us about it.

No problem! And I got my commission; I got an email about it today.
Yep, it does make everything go faster for me. Select date, select action from list (that I ceated--not a pre-set list), done. Make a backup. Saves time and stores it all together so that you don't have 1,000 index cards to keep up with, or 10 notebooks, or 10 different spreadsheets on the computer.

Just had to tell you how much I love the Vyper Reptile Tracking System. It is sooo easy to use like you said it would be. Especially for a "simple minded" person like me. I had been looking for something like that. I tried the iherp system, but I didn't really like it & never got around to putting all my info in there. I joined another one (forgotten the name now) on line & couldn't even figure out how to get started opening it up to use. I love the way this system doesn't continually pop up with little "barbs" you can't do this "ok" boxes. I also love that I can go back any time & change anything or add to it without having to edit & wait for it to decide if I did everything right. And I can put my info in the way I want, not with words it thinks I should use or describe something with. Thanks again, wished I'd paid attention sooner & got started on it. But it's o.k. my records are just for me right now.
