The same rules apply to the actual posting of ads in both sections, however, I would like to point out the major difference in the "adoptions" section and the "classified" section.
Adoptions are for free animals only! If you are asking for any money for the reptile (other than shipping charges), your ad belongs in the classifieds. Anyone not following this rule for using the adoptions section will be warned once and then banned from ever using the classifieds again if they do not follow this rule! Also, many animals that are being adopted out rather than sold may have issues; if this is the case, all issues with the animal should be explained as clearly as possible so that the potential adoptee is aware of what they are getting into.
For posting classified/adoption ads:
-Use a subject that accurately portrays the animal/item. "Hey, check this out!" is not an acceptable title; "Normal Ball Python for Sale" is acceptable.
-Include the species; size, age, and weight if possible.
-Include asking price or state that it is free. Also state whether or not shipping is included in your price.
-Please include a photo of the animal and/or equipment included whenever possible. Photos in ads tend to get better responses in general, so while they are not required, you may have more trouble selling an item if there is not a photo available.
-When your classified ad is no longer needed, please make a reply to the thread saying DELETE so that I can periodically go through and delete all classified listings that are no longer available.
Anyone not following these posting rules will result in the removal of their classifieds post. If this is the case, the ad may be resubmitted with proper information added. In the event your ad does not include the necessary information, you will be notified by PM to check your ad. If it is not updated within 24 hours, your ad will be deleted.
The sale is between you and the poster of the ad, and Python Passion cannot guarantee the legitimacy of posts made in the classifieds section. Python Passion is not legally responsible for any transactions from a post made here. Research your seller before you buy, no matter which site the classifieds ad is posted on!
