Ever get your snake out after he sheds and find yourself wondering how to get that extra skin off? What about those *cringe* eyecaps? If you've been like I have, you dread those eyecaps the worst . . . you're thinking, "Oh, man, I could really injure his eye trying to get that off." Well, here's a great way to remove them without that risk!
Wet a pillowcase with warm (not hot) water, place the snake in the bag, tie it closed, and place bag and snake back into the enclosure under the heat lamp. This creates a bit of a mini-sauna for him, and if you let him slither around in there for around 1.5-2 hours, when you take him back out, most likely he will have the eye caps off all by himself without that risk of injury, along with the rest of that old skin that didn't come off before.

Scotch tape works really well too!

My babies love to swim and i find that after a good soak you can catch the eye cap with a wet Q-tip at the top and they come right off.

You can also use a rubber finger guard (like what mail carriers and filing clerks use). You just gently wipe across the eye and the eye cap will come right off.
