Ever wonder what 1.0 Ball Pythons, or 5.2 Corn snakes mean? I always asked myself, "How in the world can you have 0.2 of a snake?!" Well, here's what it means:
The first number is the number of males you own. The second number is the number of females you own. The third number, if any, means the number of unsexed individuals you have.
So, 1.1 means you have one male and one female. 1.5 means you have one male and five females. 2.5.10 means you have two males, five females, and 10 unsexed animals.
Hope this helps!

There's also a fourth digit sometimes used that would represent number of unhatched eggs... I don't know very many people who go this far into numbering what they have at any given time but there ya go.

Thanks for having this info' right here at easy access. I think I've read this somewhere, but I forget which number belongs where once I close the book. I was going to put down all my snakes in my signature a few mins. ago, but I couldn't remember how to figure those nos. out. I just happened to stumble on this post and it was just what I needed! Funny how things happen that way?!!
